What is Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) develops when the arteries that supply oxygen-rich blood to internal organs, arms, and legs become completely or partially blocked as a result of plaque build-up. Limited blood flow can cause a variety of problems, including intermittent claudication – leg discomfort, pain or cramping that develops while walking and is relieved with rest. Left untreated, PAD can lead to debilitating and limb-threatening consequences. Timely detection and treatment may slow or stop progression of the disease and reduce the risk of amputation.

Arterial Pump Treatment
